Travel Notes: Dominican Republic
ENTRY I · VI.XXI.MMXXIII
It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I’ve been waiting to be in my 30’s my whole life. So, when the big birthday was approaching, we decided to celebrate in my favorite way possible—on a beach with a book & drink in hand. We choose the new-to-the-beach-block Live Aqua Resort in Punta Cana which is an adults-only, all-inclusive. We spent our honeymoon in the D.R. and knew we always wanted to go back so this trip was the perfect excuse. Our 6-day retreat was filled with slow mornings walking to the breakfast buffet, ice cream after lunch, and countless margaritas ocean-side. By mid-morning we were camped under a palm tree on the beach reading, talking, and watching the waves, followed by a delicious meal at one of the 10 restaurants—our favorite being Sospiro, the Italian restaurant (no surprise there). Scroll through my moments below for a glimpse at the resort & how we spent our time celebrating the start of a new decade.
